Tournament Preparation Day Camp

This week long day camp will lead committed tournament golfers through two and half hours of coaching each morning from 9:00am to 11:30am with Murray St.Onge at the Golf Academy at Tangle Creek Golf Club. Each afternoon the participants will golf at a variety of area golf courses. Wednesday’s Round will see the player compete in the BAGS Junior Tour Invitational at Tangle Creek. Space is limited to 9 players.

Program Overview:
The focus of the morning sessions will be technical in nature dealing with mastering the fundamentals and preparation for tournament golf, however, an emphasis is place on creating a fun and enjoyable learning environment. Each afternoon the participants will travel to a different area golf course for a full round of golf. Golf each day will consist of different formats placing the players in different scenarios of individual and team golf.

Daily schedule:
The players need to report to the Academy Building at Tangle Creek GC each morning at 8:55am sharp ready to stretch and enjoy the day. A friendly competition will round out each session. Transportation to the afternoon golf session is included. Player will need to be picked up from each golf course at the end of the day.
Day one Monday July 26:
8:55 – 11:00 at the Academy Building at Tangle Creek Golf Club
- Develop proper pre-practice/game stretching and warm up routine
- Guidelines for safe and fun environment established
- Video analysis: checking fundamentals and swing plain
- Proper techniques: posture, grip, stance, ball position and alignment

5:30 Parents to pick up players from Bear Creek
Day two Tuesday July 27:
8:55 – 11:30 at the Academy Building at Tangle Creek Golf Club
- Understanding proper swing plain and club path
- Swing plain drills
- Pre thought & pre shot routine
- Mental game preparation

Day three Wednesday July 28
8:55 – 11:00 at the Academy Building at Tangle Creek Golf Club
- Importance of a good short game
- Proper short game techniques
- Putting, chipping, pitching, sand shots
11:00 Lunch Break
12:30 Compete in BAGS Junior Invitation at Tangle Creek
5:00 Parents to pick up players from Tangle Creek
Day four Thursday July 29
8:55 – 11:30 at the Academy Building at Tangle Creek Golf Club

- Set up: Driver and fairway woods

- Video comparison with day one session
- Making practice fun
- Fun competitions: long drive, best balance, ect…

Cost:
Book prior to June 30st
Member: $570 + 28.50gst = $598.50
Non-Member*: $585 + 29.50gst = $614.25
Book after July 1st
Member: $570 + 74.10hst = $644.10
Non-Member*: $570 + 76.70hst =$666.70
Registration Form
Fees include: Event shirt & hat, coaching sessions, lunch, transportation to the afternoon golf sessions, green fees and entry in the BAGS Junior Invitational at Tangle Creek GC.
Players are expected to supply the following: sunscreen, snacks, drinks, a change of clothes and rain gear.
*Associate tour membership included.
